Dr. Brownlee’s Educational Journey
Originally from Michigan, Dr. Brownlee began her journey to become a plastic surgeon at Michigan State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science. Throughout her college years, she consistently earned a place on the Dean’s Honor List and was voted on the homecoming court, demonstrating her academic excellence and the respect she garnered from her peers. These early experiences of scholarly achievement and vibrant campus involvement ignited Dr. Brownlee’s passion for quality and community, forming the foundation of her approach to patient care.
Dr. Brownlee earned her medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill. During this time, she excelled as a leader, serving as the president of her medical school class and founding the institution’s surgery club. Her dedication to surgical excellence was further highlighted by her role as the National Convention Coordinator for the Student Osteopathic Surgical Association, where she demonstrated her passion for advancing medical education and supporting her peers.
After obtaining her medical degree, Dr. Brownlee completed a five-year general surgery residency at the University of Florida-Jacksonville. With her sights set on a career in plastic surgery, she continued her specialized training at the University of Mississippi Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency Program. There, she honed her skills in all aspects of plastic surgery, including cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring procedures, craniofacial surgery for adults and children, aesthetic facial surgery, traumatic and oncologic reconstructions, microsurgery, and hand surgery.
Driven by her unwavering commitment to innovation in aesthetics, Dr. Brownlee completed an additional year of advanced training as an Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellow in Dallas, TX. She immersed herself in cutting-edge techniques to ensure she could deliver unparalleled results for her patients.
